This space is a portfolio for my two great loves - dance and family. I love old photos of my parents, their choices from India to Ethiopia to Australia to the US back to Australia. Themes of identity, displacement, migration, inclusion and harmony feature in my work. MOVER John are the first letters of my Appachans (grandfathers) name.  Both my Appachans M.O Verghese and T.C Yohannan (John) were known for being smart, compassionate and generous. I don't know what they were like on the dancefloor... Conservative Syrian Orthodox Malayalees rarely get down!

I have been privileged to work in the dance industry for many diverse projects for 20 years as a dancer, choreographer, teacher, arts administrator, general manager and creative producer.   Now alongside my favourite staring role as wife and mother of three daughters (two at the same time), I am pursuing my love of movement through projects in film and photography with a focus on India, Australia and Belgium.
